Brown Rice Upma Recipe
Ingredients:

1 cup Brown Rice Mantra Upma Mix
-
2 ½ cups water (adjust for desired texture)

1 tbsp oil or ghee
-
1 small onion, finely chopped (optional)

1 green chili, slit (optional)
-
A few curry leaves
-
½ tsp mustard seeds
-
½ tsp cumin seeds
-
Salt to taste (if not already included in the mix)

Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
Optional Add-ons:

½ cup mixed vegetables (carrot, beans, peas)

A squeeze of lemon juice for freshness
Method:

Heat oil/ghee in a pan. Add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, curry leaves, and green chili. Let them splutter.

Add onions and sauté until golden. (Skip if you prefer plain upma.)

Add mixed vegetables (if using) and sauté lightly.

Pour in 2 ½ cups water, add a little salt if required, and bring it to a boil.

Slowly add Brown Rice Mantra Upma Mix, stirring continuously to avoid lumps.

Cover and cook on low flame for 5–7 minutes until the water is absorbed and the upma turns soft and fluffy.

Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with coconut chutney, sambhar, or plain curd.
